About Us

Teacher at friend playhouse

Friends Playhouse is an esteemed establishment rooted in the teachings of Deuteronomy 6:5-7, which guides our mission to love the Lord our God wholeheartedly. Our core values stem from this biblical foundation, and we strive to create a professional and nurturing environment that aligns with these principles.

At Friends Playhouse, we are dedicated to upholding exceptional standards, providing a loving and tranquil atmosphere that is not only safe, clean, and reliable but also meticulously organized. Our aim is to strike a harmonious balance between offering compassionate care and fostering academic growth.

We aspire to inspire our children to pursue knowledge willingly, without undue pressure. We seek to ignite within them an insatiable curiosity about the world around them, cultivating a genuine desire to learn and understand. Through engaging activities and an encouraging approach, we aim to identify each child's unique personality and learning style, instilling in them an enthusiasm for the learning journey.

Within the confines of Friends Playhouse, stress, burnout, and perfectionism find no place. Instead, we embrace the power of positive and realistic expectations, exercise patience, and provide positive role modeling. Our focus centers on nurturing each child's innate strengths, learning preferences, and individual interests. Moreover, we emphasize the development of character by teaching essential values such as righteousness, loyalty, honesty, respect, patience, kindness, compassion, and generosity.

In our curriculum, biblical stories will be shared, crafts will be created, songs will be sung, and prayer will be offered. We celebrate Christian holidays and also recognize cultural figures like Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny. In our belief, free play holds great importance, not only as a source of physical activity but also as a means to enhance attention skills crucial for learning.

The unstructured environment of the outdoors enables children to make decisions and encourages problem-solving. Through play, they learn valuable social skills, interacting with peers and family members while acquiring cooperation and compromise abilities. Free play also fosters empathy, flexibility, and self-awareness. Importantly, research from the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and Mathematic Policy Research, Inc. affirms that free play positively impacts emotional well-being by reducing anxiety, depression, aggression, and sleep problems.

To further enrich our educational approach, each classroom will be equipped with various centers, and a structured activity schedule will be posted. Our experienced teachers will implement daily lesson plans tailored to the specific needs and age groups of each class. For our infants, we recognize the paramount importance of holding, loving, kissing, and cuddling. Experts have concluded that these affections are indispensable for their well-being, and it is our unwavering priority to ensure that infants in our care remain joyous and cherished.

At Friends Playhouse, we aspire to foster an atmosphere that combines professional excellence with Christian values, promoting growth, learning, and character development in an environment grounded in love and faith.
